Project Overview
The goal of the project was to create a continuous timer that went from 00-59 and had a reset switch

Conclusion
· Async counters have a lag time while switching numbers whereas sync counters have an uninterrupted continuous switching. Also sync counters require a lot more logic to build than async.
· ‘163 reset is set to the exact reset value and can only go up. ‘193 reset is set to the next proceeding number and can go both up and down.
· The 1’s digit is controlled by a 163 MSI gate and it counts from 0-9. Since it is a 163 you set the reset value to the exact number you want. When the reset value is reached it also sends a signal to the 10’s digit, which is a 3 byte SSI JK synchronous counter, to switch to the next value and it keeps doing that until the 10’s digit reaches 6 and immediately switches to 0 and that is the full swing of things. The last thing to talk about is the reset switch and it is always on but when turned off it sets both digits to 0 and prevents the clock from moving up until turned on again.
· My circuit was different from most because I put the reset for the 163 to clear when most people put it to load but besides that pretty much everything else was the same.
